Aqua Natal Yoga

Aqua Natal Yoga is a specialist, low-impact exercise for both pre and post natal women. The water helps to provide a great opportunity to enjoy the freedom of movement whilst supported in the water.

Pre-natal Aqua Yoga

In pre-natal women:

  • the exercises aid expansion breath control,
  • improves circulation,
  • aids stretching
  • and allows for opportunity to relax in the water.

In the later stages of pregnancy, movements practiced in the water will to assist your baby into a favourable position for birth.

An ideal exercise to bring you and your baby closer before they are even born.

Post-natal Aqua Yoga

Post-natal aqua yoga helps:

  • to realign the spine,
  • strengthens and tones the abdominal muscles,
  • tones the pelvic floor muscles
  • and provides a sense of overall wellbeing.

It is best to wait for confirmation from your midwife or doctor at your 6 weeks check that gentle exercise can be undertaken, particularly if you have had a c-section.

Well-women Aqua Yoga

Well-woman aqua yoga classes are also available. These classes are designed to allow yoga exercises to be practiced in the pool whilst being fully supported by the water. A range of movements are undertaken with the aim of stretching and toning the body in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
